Lighting the Future at Ipswich Town F.C.:  L.C.C. Lighting and E.S. Broadcast Illuminate Ipswich Town F.C.’s ‘Town TV’.

In a collaboration that marries innovation with convenience, E.S. Broadcast enlisted the expertise of L.C.C. Lighting to illuminate Ipswich Town F.C.’s very own media channel, “Town TV.” The project, a symphony of technology and design, was orchestrated to meet the unique demands of remote-controlled lighting systems.

The challenge? To create a lighting environment that could be effortlessly controlled from Glasgow, yet have a backup system in Ipswich. The solution,  L.C.C. Lighting deployed a state-of-the-art system featuring LED Fresnels and Bi-Colour soft panels. These were programmed with pre-set levels and stored in a wall-mounted memory panel from AnyTronics in Ipswich with overall control from QTV in Glasgow. This allows for master control to be switched between Glasgow and Ipswich, depending on operational needs.

The internal set lighting: Installed on-site by L.C.C., the system boasts full RGB(W) capabilities, illuminating various elements of the set—from the Cyc wall graphics to the table top and its base. The control system allows for “one-finger control” from either Glasgow or Ipswich.

The entire venture was meticulously managed by Jacob Cooper of ES Broadcast. Construction was executed by Audio Schemes, under the vigilant supervision of Nick Langley. The lighting grid, along with production and set lighting, was overseen by Lee Rickard, Andy Hinkinson, and Steve Mitchell from L.C.C. Lighting. As for the set, it was the creative vision of designer Ali Mills and was brought to life by Alex and his team from RDW.
