It is with great sadness that CueScript announces today the passing of founder Brian Larter, age 58. One of the most popular people in the broadcast industry, Brian was loved and respected by the global community, especially for his legendary sense of humour. He was diagnosed with a rare pancreatic cancer in 2018 and spent the past five years undergoing treatment and enjoying life with his family, wife Justine, daughters Louise, Gina and Abbie, and much loved grandsons.

As a well-established leader in the broadcast industry, Brian is best known for his work in creating revolutionary prompting solutions. He started his career at Autocue where he started in rental and quickly moved to sales. Later acquiring BDL Autoscript with Michael Accardi.  The team built on the foundation started by Chris Lambert and expanded the reach creating a truly global company. The company was sold to Vitec Videocom in 2006.

As Brian could never be far away from a prompter in 2014 he and Michael Accardi founded CueScript. Long-time friends and associates Charlotte Latham and  Meghan Tyler were the first to join the CueScript team, with many more friends and associates joining. Today CueScript is the leading prompter solution and is used around the world, and even on the famous Christmas Day message, which Brian worked on for many years. He was also a long-term member of the IBC Exhibition Committee.

A keen cyclist and football fan, Brian also loved his cars and spent many summers driving around Europe in his vintage Stag. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him personally and professionally and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

The family has chosen for donations to go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity from which they and Brian received amazing support. Donations can be made here:
